Oct 5, 2016 6:40 AM in response to Jaalwineby dsgrce,Apple is replacing both iPhone 7's that I purchased. I've seen people get new ones and still have the issue. Has anyone gotten a new one and the issue been fixed?
I asked if they knew of a batch that may have a particular issue and they said "no", so I don't know how they can guarantee that the new ones will fix the issue.

Oct 5, 2016 7:22 AM in response to dsgrceby toebone7,I Have the gps and no service bug on the iPhone 7 128 gb running Verizon. Went to Apple Store yesterday for reset of phone with no results. it's getting frustrating.. My friend from work got his iPhone 7 yesterday, also a 128 on Verizon and he has the same problem. We were in the car today going for lunch and both lost service and gps at the same time. this is my first iPhone and if this is any indication of the iPhone experience I'm dumping apple and going back to android.

Oct 6, 2016 10:17 AM in response to mattbouncerby imagine3969,Same exact thing from beginning to end. The "fix" of turning VoLTE off doesn't work; I still lose GPS while using Waze. I even immediately tried other maps, and they struggled at that moment to find my location too.

Oct 6, 2016 10:23 AM in response to Jaalwineby imagine3969,I have been having Service and GPS issues since I first got my phone last week. I traveled a good distance over the weekend and it continued to lose GPS frequently making it very difficult to get around. I noticed it seemed to lose Service and GPS at the same time. I did every reset possible, replaced my SIM Card, did a factory reset and restore, and even tried turning off VoLTE; none of those worked. I think so far I haven't lost service since turning off LTE for Voice, but I still lose GPS.
This is very frustrating when driving somewhere you've never been. Thankfully I had someone with me who had an Android. It was a sad moment when I had to ask for their help since my brand new iPhone 7 wasn't working.

Oct 6, 2016 10:26 AM in response to sterling rby imagine3969,This is not helpful. Verizon doesn't have a fix. No one knows what the issue is. The only thing I was told was the usual SIM Card or the VoLTE, outside of that, that's it. This issue needs immediate high level attention.

Oct 6, 2016 10:33 AM in response to imagine3969by ericfromli,The IOS 10.1 Beta 2 has seemed to fix the issue so far. I have had great service and GPS today where i previously had not.

Oct 6, 2016 10:36 AM in response to sterling rby imagine3969,No, the Beta Update 10.1 Public 2 doesn't work either. I thought it did, until the last 30 seconds of my 45 minute ride today when the GPS signal was loss.

Oct 6, 2016 12:05 PM in response to imagine3969by mikebrown,Verizon iPhone 7, 128GB Gold. Loaded IOS 10.1 Public Beta 2 with Verizon 26.0 last night. So far, so good using Data Roaming; Enable LTE; Data and Voice. However, no long trips, so far. Did go into my WiFi settings on my phone and changed DNS setting for my phone to 8.8.8.8 (Google). Interestingly, when I switched off WiFi, SpeedTest by Ookla indicated no cellular service whereas 4GMark tested and provided data for cellular. Previously, on IOS 9.3.5 SpeedTest worked fine when WiFi was switched off.
Secondly, on IOS 10.0.2, previously I found that enabling LTE to Data only seemed to fix the issue, but that may have been because I live close to I-95 in Northern Virginia and LTE rarely drops below two dots.

Oct 6, 2016 12:56 PM in response to mikebrownby toninog3,I Found similar treats in the forum same thing has happened to iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s in early days after release, which makes me believe it's more like software issu, hopefully is. Why guys don't you try the field mode test and see any data from there, my iPhone has failed to load this field test and i had to return it for refund. I really want to get another 7 and give it a second chance but will wait for few weeks for new batches to arrive.
Here is how to do it yourself:

Oct 6, 2016 5:59 PM in response to Jaalwineby swandy,(1) Go to Settings/Cellular/Cellular Data Options/Enable LTE and select DATA ONLY. That seems to solve the problem (as a temporary fix) for most people experiencing this issue. The bad part is your calls might not be as clear (since they can't use the higher data rate LTE signals) and you can't do calling and data at the same time. But it does solve the issue.
(2) There are rumors (but you did not hear this from me as we are not supposed to discuss Apple's Beta Software program in this forum) that the newest Apple Beta for iOS (which also includes an update of the Verizon Carrier software to 26.0) seems to solve this issue. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Oct 6, 2016 6:15 PM in response to swandyby marktel,The Enable LTE -> Data only temporary fix has definitely improved the situation but I'm still experiencing the No Service drops (but definitely not as often). Hopefully 10.1 fixes this. Thanks
