Oct 9, 2016 1:12 PM in response to cregachoby toninog3,if this problem happen to iPhone 7 means trouble is with the iPhone 7 not with the network provider. I am in UK on 3 network and since day one i notice significan dropping in the signal, 4G only in an ideal conditions and once signal goes to 3G never returns to 4G , wifi was also weaken than the iPhone 5s 6 and 6s. However I never had total lost of GPS and only few times had No Signal. I found similar problems ppl had with previous iPhone releases ., 5s and 6s, but now these phones works a treat, maybe Apple knows about the issue and works on a solution but will take some time, or just there are faulty components inside the first produced iPhones 7's.

Oct 10, 2016 7:48 AM in response to cregachoby cregacho,Tried two things on my way to work today:
1. Turned off cellular roaming - GPS signal was still lost.
2. Turned off LTE - restricted to 3G speeds but GPS worked fine.
For my situation, I still feel this is more of a software/hardware issue with Apple since GPS works fine on my daughters iPhone 6s. I haven't noticed any issues with data or voice calls dropping only GPS losing connection.

Oct 10, 2016 8:05 AM in response to cregachoby toninog3,It's ddefinitely iPhone 7 issues software or hardware or both but it's not the network provider. If all older iPhones and other make phones work properly with the network iPhone 7 should do straight out of the box.

Oct 10, 2016 1:33 PM in response to toebone7by Axxou,I just tried the new iOS 10.1 beta 3 (developer version released today), my GPS is still not working.
I don't have any cell drop on my side, only the GPS that is not working.
- Carrier: ORANGE / Sosh (France).
- Device: iPhone 7 Black 128GB.

Oct 10, 2016 1:43 PM in response to Axxouby jacobhyman,That sounds more like just a bad GPS and I would think there is a decent show it would be fixed with a new phone. If there really is a problem with the GPS, Apple should replace it under warranty.
The problem most of the people in this thread are talking about seems to be related to the hand-off between cell towers causes both the service and GPS to drop (while the GPS is technically separate from the cell capabilities) they interact when A-GPS is being used.

Oct 10, 2016 2:05 PM in response to jacobhymanby Axxou,I went to an Apple Genius, and he proposed a replacement (warranty). But there is currently no stock for the model I have... so I have to wait. What a shame, for a 2 weeks phone I paid $900...

Oct 11, 2016 2:10 PM in response to Jaalwineby pcuznyc,Hi All,
So I started getting this problem and thought first must be a problem with Verizon in my area. Then it kept happening. Really causes problems when I am using Waze. Is there an official fix yet for this? Or do i need to swap my Iphone 7 for a new one?
thanks!

Oct 11, 2016 5:48 PM in response to Jaalwineby cbmom3,I have the exact same problem - AND I HAD MY IPHONE 7 REPLACED TODAY WITH A NEW IPHONE 7 AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING WITH MY NEW PHONE!!! When I started using my new phone, I did not use old data from an icloud backup (in case it was a software issue from my previous phone) so I started totally fresh. I already had the SIM card replaced.
So none of these work:
1. Replacing old IPHONE 7 with new IPHONE 7.
2. Getting a new SIM card.
I also have Verizon. My husband has an iphone 6s and it works perfectly when it is directly next to my phone that has no service. So its not a coverage issue. Its something with the iphone 7.
Apple has told me that after replacing my phone if I still had a problem its no longer their problem but Verizon's problem. I know Verizon is going to kick it back to Apple. So, I think I'm going to replace my iphone 7 with an iphone 6s. Its just not worth it!
