Oct 13, 2016 3:36 AM in response to gc_gc_1818by Spaniel_Dave,It's great that you've been able to solve your problem, but the GPS issue is not due solely to legacy settings. Many of us, including me, have reset the phone to factory settings and the GPS signal still dropped. In other words, no settings were carried over from the previous phone. I have been working with a Level Two AppleCare rep and there is no official knowledge that Apple is sharing regarding this bug. He has no internal information about this and there has not been internal discussion (at least at his level). That's really unfortunate.
Some say the 10.1 beta has resolved the issue for them. Hopefully if it's really only software related, the problem will be solved as soon as they release the update.

Oct 13, 2016 5:23 AM in response to gc_gc_1818by JRE72,Glad that worked for you but as said above ^^^ it's not the solution for everyone. I wish it were that simple. This is the first thing I tried and one of the first things Apple will tell you to do when this sort of thing is happening.
Funny how they told you something different than others are being told based on the posts here.

Oct 13, 2016 5:24 AM in response to JRE72by Bgt4646,I Really don't think there is a solution until A software update comes. But when you call it seemed they have no information on this and they all surprised that it's happening so if they don't acknowledge it how can they fix it in a software update? This is not my only problem either me and my wife's phone are both freezing when opening the native camera app and also iMessage keeps freezing or crashing . This is awful

Oct 13, 2016 7:00 AM in response to xdreduardxby Gregrstone,This is my second day running beta 3 on my iPhone 7. I have had no drop of LTE service. I would get on average one drop per half hour especially while driving. None of the other fixes ever worked for me, including a new phone. At this point, I would say that this software update has fixed the issue. Has anyone NOT had success fixing the issue by using beta 3?

Oct 13, 2016 7:18 AM in response to Gregrstoneby hughesy2,On Vodafone U.K. and can't get 3G or 4G in places where I previously could on my 6 and se. Tried ALL the usual recommended fixes, none work. Just off the phone with AppleCare and they said it's a known issue that engineers are working on, but there's no fix yet. Mine is a rose gold 128gb 7 plus running the latest beta 3 with Vodafone 26.0 carrier settings.

Oct 13, 2016 7:53 AM in response to hughesy2by Olesya_ger,I'm on Vodafone UK as well, and tried everything possible. Speaking to apple on phone seems like they have never heard about this issue...

Oct 13, 2016 8:06 AM in response to hughesy2by toninog3,Well , exactly the same issue here on 3 UK network. Went to Apple Store Brent Cross and ppl though I am crazy, no one ever heard of this before. I decided to return my phone and now waiting for the official iOS 10.1 update to fix the issue so I can buy another 7. Some users report that after iOS 10.1 beta installed have no more problems so hopefully next update will sort the things out.

Oct 14, 2016 2:54 AM in response to toninog3by Denny787,Hi Folks, very same issues, Vodafone Uk 26.0.
Tried 10.1 beta 3 and it doesn't change anything, expecting a feedback today from Apple and I will go back to the 6s that it was working just fine.
Cheers

Oct 14, 2016 3:18 AM in response to Denny787by Olesya_ger,Hey there. Same thing with me, beta 3 didn't help me, and I wasn't able to use my phone at all. What helped (-ish) is turning off 4G and 3G. It's not ideal at all, but at least now I can receive calls and make calls. I know it wasn't Vodafone fault as my sim works in other phones. May be you can try this too.

Oct 14, 2016 3:32 AM in response to Olesya_gerby hughesy2,Yes 2G works ok for me, but who wants a 2G smartphone???
-
Oct 14, 2016 3:40 AM in response to hughesy2by Olesya_ger,Agree! But my issue was I couldn't even use my smartphone as a phone! It was showing as if I'm connected to Vodafone (3-4 connection dots) BUT I wasn't able to make any calls and when people would try to call me it will ring for few seconds and than take straight to voicemail for them, while on my "smartphone" it wouldn't even indicate that someone tried to call me...
