Called EnPass.

The most popular one is 1Password. If you have any IOS devices or Android devices, they also make versions for those too.

It is not "free." That is what the OP asked for.

1Password is indeed the best. I use it myself. But it is far from free. In fact a bit expensive. EnPass, that I suggested, has all the most important features of 1Password as well as being free.

Kappa is correct. OnePassword is not free, however it's the best. If you want the best of anything, be prepared to pay for it.

I will agree with others here, 1Password is excellent and worth the money

spent on it. I investigated and tried many others and decided this one was

worth the extra money.

The licensing is very flexible as well. Buy it once and use it on all computers

you own and you can have it sync across them as well.

Be aware, like many other companies, if going to their site to purchase other

than the Mac App Store, they will try to push for going with a subscription version.

You need to dig a little, but you can still get a non-subscription version.

One other note, the Mac App Store version can sync across devices via iCloud but

the vendor store version won't at last look.

I use 1Password. I have the password file on my dropbox acct and all my devices (phone/ipad/imac) point to it. That way its in sync across all devices.
