Q: Apple Watch Series 2 not available in stores?

I'm trying to decide between the sport band and the nylon band.

So currys is a UK store? Similar to a Best Buy in America?

ive been checking constantly ever since I decided not to pre-order on release day and have regretted it since as delivery time was increasing and increasing.

Yes similar to Best Buy but they have only shown out of stock on website until yesterday so its definitely worth trying outside of Apple.

I Went with sports space grey/black, it was between that and the pink sports.

Same here.  Apple Store at International Mall in Tampa had Series 1 on opening day but only the gray sport Series 2 in stock.  None of the others were available.  No one new when any would be shipped so I ordered online.  It was the same with other Apple Stores in the Tampa Bay Area

With the 42mm not even available on launch day, I went ahead and placed an online order for a stainless steel/sport band via the Apple Store with an estimated shipment around the second week of October just to get myself 'in the line' while I continue checking for in-store pickup availability.

Our patience is being tested.. But I just got back from the Apple Store in Mississauga, don't have the S2 either, which I knew upfront. So I ended up buying the (new) S1 but will swap it for the S2 as soon as it gets back in stock. He said that they "probably will be there within the next 10 days so keep an eye on the in-store stock."

Same story in NYC!  When I try to select a store for pickup, I get the message "not available for pick up." It ****** me off even more to see them being sold on e-bay for $500+  One guy had six to sell!  It feels a bit like ticket scalpers who seem to get most of the tickets rather than the everyday person.

Same here. I have been checking the stock online for all the stores in Connecticut and Westchester county since the launch day. Have not seen a single Apple watch series 2 sports in stock at any store until today. I also went to 5 different stores no luck. Online it is showing shipping 3-5 weeks . I asked the store employee and they said they didn't receive any shipment for watch series 2 sports since the launch day until today. It is back ordered until November and were not aware when will they receive stock for them in store.

Did the in store pickup so that they were available or did you just go and visit your stores?

I went to the store the first day, they had Series 1 but only the grey Series 2 sport watch.  No other Series 2 models were available at the store

Stopped around 1pm at my local store the first day and they were already sold out of series 2. They still had series one in stock but I wasn't interested.

Same here.  Very disappointed with this launch and the lack of inventory.  I traveled an hour to the Apple

store on launch day only to find there were no Series 2 watches in stock.  So I placed the order to have it delivered to my home from the store.  The estimated shipping date was Oct. 7.  Later, I heard Best Buy guarantees delivery of the same watch combo by 9/28.  Placed an order with Best Buy and cancelled the Apple order.  At least if I don't get it by the 28th, I may get a $50 gift card from Best Buy!

Brandy190, I do hope you get it. I've been checking Best Buy also. Online they show the pre-order button. I'm not sure that is what I want to do.

I hope your order with Best Buy pulls through. I've several botched preorder experiences with them from the iPad Air to the iPhone 6s Plus and swore never to do preorders with them ever again. Apple on the other hand under promises but overdelivers. Awhile ago Incustom ordered a MacBook Pro and had a ship date of 2-weeks, it came in within 4-days.

I Preordered mine with sprint on the 17th of September and was told a shipment was on the way and it should arrive by within 3 business days... NOT.

its been a week now and nobody is able to answer my question on when I will be receiving my watch. according to the websites of bestbuy, target and Apple the series 2 watch will be "coming soon". I have no idea what the hold up is, and the lack of knowledge or answers from suppliers is even more frustrating; especially since these watches are no cheap investment.
