Q: Camera Roll pictures out of order in iOS 10

I just received my new iPhone 7 and after successfully restoring it from a backup of my iPhone 6, I noticed that all my photos in the Camera Roll are out of sync. I realize they are supposed to be in chronological order from when they were taken, but they are very mixed up...some photos/videos that I took back in February. I have always restored my new device from a backup whenever I've upgraded to the latest iPhone and have NEVER had this problem.

I have read through some of posts on here where people have had this issue or something like it in the past, but nothing has been listed as a direct fix for this problem. I have tried anything and everything I have found online or here as a way around fixing the out-of-order, and nothing has worked.

This is extremely frustrating! Would someone please help?!

I have the new iPhone 7 - 256Gb Black, running iOS 10.0.1.

Thanks!

iPhone 7, iOS 10.0.1

i've already had a wedding and a vacation on my new phone.  Apple support said they would work this out on the next update.  I hope i'm not screwed from now on.  I can't access any old photos on any of my apps because theyre so out of wack.

iOS 9 made a mess of my Camera Roll

Seems like it's an old issue that apple knows but didn't fix.

Hi everyone, a quick update. I have spoken with several tech support people (over the last few days) and just a few minutes ago I received a call from a higher level support engineer. I can confirm that Apple are aware of the problem and are working on a fix for the issue. There isn't an ETA for a fix, but will come in a firmware release 'soon', I was advised. Keep this forum topic alive and have any friends who are having the same trouble come and join us, or link some of us have done, provide feedback via the iPhone feedback page.
