Q: Ihave to unlock my apple id constantly

For the last 2 weeks, I'm being asked constantly  to unlock my apple ID... I'm about to close my apple account, because this situation is hitting hard on my nerves, since each time I have to get a new password and change every Apple machine I have and Itunes. I gather someone out there either 1) thinks it's his or her ID and can't remember his email, so after 3 trials, it blocks or 2) someone out there decided to dislike my apple Id enormously. Is there anything I can do? Can I change my apple id and still have my apps updated? I really need help here.

sure- I can't offer you a lot of help, save that your Apple ID is tied to your email, so, maybe write it down. After 3 tries of typing in your Apple ID, it will block  it, and that goes for everyone. Yes, you can change your Apple ID and still have your apps updated. Here's apple's web page on managing your Apple ID...also check to see if your Caps Lock key is down....

other than that, try the usual- reset the PMU and zap pram. I don't know what OS you have or what model of Mac Pro you have, so all I can give you is basic stuff. If you think your Apple ID is too common, try adding a few numbers to the username , or other characters eg "@" or "&" or "#" or "%" as well and see if that helps you out.  how to reset the PMU and zap pram on a Tower Mac can be found here on Apple's website, in the support section, or if you're lazy like me, google or yahoo works as well
