My apple tv 3rd generaton isnt working with my bedroom tv, the audio is coming from the tv just not the visual. I tried changing the HDMI with a brand new cable, didnt work. I also plugged it in to my living room tv and that worked. What will help the picture come on the bedroom tv?
It may be sending an incompatible format. Hold Menu and Up for 5 seconds. ATV will change modes every 20 seconds. When you get a picture, use the remote to accept it. See Get help with audio, video, or power on Apple TV - Apple Support. ATV may either be set to a resolution that's too high, or it may be on 50 Hz when the TV only accepts 60. Normally if you leave ATV resolution on Auto, it should "just work". By the way, your cable is fine if you get audio, since the sound packets are mixed with the video in HDMI.

On the remote hold menu and the up arrow for 5 seconds so it can cycle through resolutions.
