upgrading to iPhone 7+ restore question

just got my iPhone 7+ and made backup of my iPhone 6 to my computer.

after my iPhone 7 has been restored everything looks good but it wants to download all apps over wifi.

does my computer not backup the apps too?

is it best to just redownload all apps?

Only if you downloaded all your Apps using iTunes on your computer. If not then you need to re-download them through iTunes. Re-downloads of purchased apps is free. Download past purchases and Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.
