Siri not recognising sound after iOS10 update

Ever since I updated to iOS 10 my Siri and dictation have not been recognising sound. However my microphone is working fine as I can still make and receive calls.

Any thoughts as to how I can fix this issue?

Hello Markdev,

Thanks for asking your Siri question here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand how important Siri is for everything these days. Here are the steps I would try.

The first thing we want to ensure is that all your data is safe. You can make a backup in iCloud or iTunes. Use this article for help with that: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch .

Then, I recommend going to Settings > Siri. Turn Siri off, then turn Siri back on again. If you use "Hey Siri", turn that off, then back on again as well. Test.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

SSiri is not responding except with a response that reads something like sorry i can't do that right now try later.

every since the iOS 10 update it doesn't work. every once in awhile it will but mostly not. ive contacted apple sipprt twice and gone through all the usual fixes, i.e. Hard reset, turn Siri on/off turn dictation on/off, erase phone and start over! and now after doing the latest little gem, all of my apps, almost are greyes out and won't download which makes them useless. is there a fix for this or not!! Frustrated
