Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. From what I understand, any photos you take or copy to your iPhone 6 upgraded to iOS 10 don't know which way is up. I'll be glad to help you with this.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Before troubleshooting any device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It's better to "have" one than to "need one".
1. First quit all the running apps with Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch then Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Never underestimate the power of a good restart.
2. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- If you didn't back up your iPhone previously, you'll need to do so now. This process will completely wipe the iPhone to allow a fresh copy of the iOS to be installed.
The first time through, select "Set up as a new iPhone". Take and also download some photos from the web and see if the orientation has corrected itself. If everything is working as it should, continue on.
3. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Use this article to guide you through the process of replacing your personal information back on your phone.Have a fantastic day!
