Do you think I should use a screen protector for original Apple Watch Sport?

A Few months after I bought the Watch, I find a minor scratches (a very visible one). I'm using a screen protector now. But it's ugly and make my Watch thicker.

I wear it all the time. I don't usually do exercises but I did run in the morning back in January. the most annoying thing about the screen protector is the tiny dusts around it. And it looks ugly when I'm taking photo of my Watch. But I also don't want to scratch it.

DO you guys think it's okay to wear the Watch without protecto? I want this Watch to last for about next two years before I buy a new one.
