Black screen for 10 seconds and then lock screen after ios 10

I am facing an issue where my iphone 6 randomly shows black screen with a little loading circle in the center for around 10 seconds and then wakes up at the passcode lock screen.

Called up Support and they mentioned to install ios 10 via itunes instead and setup as a new device and not to restore from the backup to diagnose the issue.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Any suggestions that might be quicker than the one mentioned by Apple Support 😐

COworker and I has this exact issue. Getting really annoying. The app I was on lost its place, its like crashes are happening

I'm also seeing this randomly.

This occurred after installing ios 10 what was labeled as RC, but I don't have any update on it showing up

I wiped out the device as per the customer care and then I did following two things -

1) Installed Outlook app, Authenticator (Microsoft App) and Whatsapp

2) Removed some of the native apps like stocks, watch, podcasts, home, keynotes, pages and numbers etc but I don't remember all.

and it happened again!!!!!!!

This means my old settings and data don't have to do anything about it.

Do you've anything common to what I did that might narrow it down?

After Apple support told me to wipe out the data again and not to install any of the apps to check, I don't think this will be resolved very soon 😟 and hence trying somethings myself.

I Have same issue. I have outlook and Authenticator. I also wrote outlook suppport and asked then same question.

Try removing just these two apps or restoring factory settings and while restore stop these two apps from installing.

IT has nothing to do with the apps you installed. The other thread is more useful iOS 10 Black Screen Spinning Wheel this spinning thing is a memory leak in the OS and Apple needs to fix this. I used Twitter and it happened, I used the app I built and debugged and it happened. It happened when launching stuff from notifications . it happened when using google maps and even Apple maps.

I have this issue currently and it started after upgrading to ios 11.2... It is really annoying as you need to wait 10 seconds for the lock screen to come up
