Q: Forgot pin, ipad disabled
I need to reset my ipad and the officeial guide does not work: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
I can do just the 3rd option "Erase your device with recovery mode". When I follow the steps after ipad restart iTunes asks me if I want to allow ipad data access. When I select yes, ipad requires pin. When I select no, nothing happens, ipad does not connect to ituons.
How to resolve this?

If you are being prompted to allow access on the iPad that implies that you haven't successfully put the iPad into recovery mode - it can take more than one try to successfully do it.
