Do you get violin sounds with the add-on in-app purchase of garageband?
Do you get violin sounds if you buy the add-on in Garageband? I need singular spiccato violin sounds for my project but can't work out how to add these to my keyboard!

The extension package does have smart strings, but not a selection of classical orchestra instruments. You can get them with the Jam Pack World Orchestra, only this Jam Pack is no longer sold separately.
You can install it by purchasing MainStage. It will install all JamPacks in way that GarageBand can use the instruments installed by MainStage. For example, I am seeing these instruments after instaling MainStage:
