Safari App Store won't connect MacBook Pro

my Safari or App Store won't Load. I can't even update any software.

my Macbook pro is OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

i just moved into a new apartment with wifi, my iPhone and ipad connect but laptop won't.

What can I do to resolve this if i cant use wifi or personal hotspot on my laptop?

Good afternoon meganoc5,

If you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi in your new apartment, the first thing I would recommend is to recycle the power to your modem/router, and then connect your MacBook Pro directly to it with an ethernet cable.

Once you have accessed the internet using the ethernet (wired) connection, you can try a Wi-Fi connection again. The built-in Wireless Diagnostics on your Mac will analyze the Wi-Fi connection and suggest solutions for potential issues.
