If you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi in your new apartment, the first thing I would recommend is to recycle the power to your modem/router, and then connect your MacBook Pro directly to it with an ethernet cable.
Mac Basics: Connecting your Mac to the Internet
Once you have accessed the internet using the ethernet (wired) connection, you can try a Wi-Fi connection again. The built-in Wireless Diagnostics on your Mac will analyze the Wi-Fi connection and suggest solutions for potential issues.
Use Wireless Diagnostics to help you resolve Wi-Fi issues on your Mac
Take care.
