iOS 10 wifi issues

Ugraded to iOS 10 last night. iPhone 6S. I have had pretty much non-existent wifi connectivity since the upgrade. I've restarted my phone, reset my network settings, restarted router, restarted modem. Did a renew lease in the connection settings. Nothing works. Web pages aren't loading. YouTube just spins and won't load. If I disable wifi and purely use the LTE network everything is blazing fast. What the heck did iOS 10 do to my wifi !?!?!?

Well, now I'm convinced it was an issue with my entire wifi connection, not the iphone 6s, because all of my devices were having issues that day too. I called Comcast telling them that I thought they had an outage, and they kept assuring me there was no outage in the area. I reset my modems and routers multiple times to no success. Then the next day miraculously everything was working blazing fast again. Hmmmm, tell me another one Comcast.

IOS 10 wifi problems solved!!

I did all the fixes like the other sites said. I finally just downgraded my wifi radio to 802.11b/g from 802.11b/g/n.

It seems that apple products have a hard time with n band maybe? Anyways, everything works now. b/g is not as fast as n but at least it works. Maybe apple will have a fix soon.

No more dropped wifi. No more four bars but slow wifi. it all runs 18Mbps or 2.27 MB/s. Thats good enough for me
