Downloaded IOS 10 and no sound on applications

I have downloaded IOS 10 and my applications no longer have sound. The Volume is on and still no sound.

iPhone 5c, iOS 10

Hi, did you able to resolve this. After an upgrade to 10.2.1 FaceTime app have issue with sound, I can hear the caller but he cannot hear me. We are using same Apple ID for facetime, all other apps like skype, hangout works and I do not have hardware issue as I hear sound while playing music. Can someone help me if they have faced this issue and resolved. Appreciated!

I upgraded to iOS 10.1 this morning. After making one call no problem, the next call had no sound. Then I realized that no apps had sound (e.g. Music, etc.). No sound with/without headphones. No bluetooth devices connected. Powered off and restarted the phone and then the sound comes back... for the first call (which I made to voicemail). Then after that, sound is gone again.
