Q: When I try to update my software the apple ID auto fills with my father's ID, How do I change that?

I want to change my father's apple ID to my apple ID. I want to leave all applications and data.

    Applications downloaded with one Apple ID are forever tied to it, and will always require it to update.

     

    You cannot change this.

     

    The only option is to delete the Apps and download them with your own Apple ID.

    Preparing a 2nd Hand Mac for use -

    You need to erase the HDD, reinstall the version of OS X that shipped from the factory on the Mac and then set it up as new with your own Apple ID.
