Stopping automatic movie downloads

Hi

I know this question has been asked dozens of times, but the answers I'm finding seem to suggest the same thing.

In iTunes (latest version, on Windows) I have unchecked "Films" and "Always check for available downloads" in "Store Preferences", as detailed on other threads. However, iTunes still(!!!) starts to automatically download purchased movies.

Anything else I can try...?

Tthanks in advance...

iTunes automatically downloads items to the purchasing computer when you buy something. Those options affect what happens on and additional computers or devices after you make a purchase. Any content you purchase that can be redownloaded or streamed may also be removed by the rights holders without notice, so keeping your own copy, and a backup, is a good idea, even if it happens not to be so convenient right now. As far as I'm aware once the store has queued up a download for your computer it stays queued until you either download it or ask the support staff to flush the queue. That said you can try deleting the Downloads folder inside your iTunes Media folder in case that stops anything that iTunes is pulling down from your end as opposed to whatever is being pushed by the store.
