Q: Ios 10 keyboard covers text in Facebook

AArgh!  Since upgrading to ios 10 the screen does not scroll when the keyboard pops up to allow you to see what you are typing.  I went through this in a previous update and the solutions of docking/undocking, turning off split keyboard, turning off or on predictive do not correct the issue.  Help!

    Hello AdrianaG,

     

    Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your iPad working as expected, and I'd like to help you get your text fields working again.

     

    You were off to a good start with the steps you've taken so far, and our next step would be to reset the settings on your iPad. This doesn’t affect your data. All of your content will remain intact, but you may still wish to back up your settings data to iTunes or iCloud before doing this reset. This link will guide you through backing up if you choose to do so:  How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch​

     

    What this effectively does is to reset some of your settings to factory default. This does not remove any data like apps, photos or contacts, but It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Touch ID, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, so you'll have to set those things back up after this reset.

     

    To do this please go to Settings >  General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

    Not a very helpful answer; re-entering all those preferences is a PITA, no question.

     

    It's not just facebook; my keyboard now hovers quite a ways above the bottom of the screen in portrait mode. See the attached image. This makes a lot of apps very hard to use; typing anything in Tumblr is a nightmare.
