Iphone 7 plus notification center white lines and squares

All you guys need to do is to disable mail notifications or delete mail app.It works for me,try it.

I had a word with Apple support team and they told me that we can restore from itune and check the same. If we are in beta version then for the restore we must have the non beta version backup.

They informed me that its seems likely to be a software issue as they have fixed it for many customers. I am on beta version without non beta iOS backup so only option i have is to wait for full version iOS 10.2 and check if it happens.

Please contact them and try to restore or they may have some other solution for it.

I see this too, white/black lines flickering, mostly when there's a photo rendered in the background (i.e. in chat app of sorts).

Thanks for letting me know. I did get in contact with apple support they told me to reset the entire phone back to factory settings and did a full restore without my backup (set up as new phone) and yet the problem came back.. hopefully the next update will solve it.

This is a software issue. To remove this follow these steps:

Open Settings

Go to "Display & Brightness"

Go to "Text Size"

Change text size to anything other than the lowest.

I know that this is a temporary solution, so nothing personal to you.

Yet I find it not satisfactory enough, considering we're paying almost a grand for those phones.

I upgraded to iPhone 7 plus less than a week ago and noticed the problem straight away.

Had an iPhone 6 before, with iOS 10.1.1 installed, and I had no problem.

I've always been using the smallest size for the font. In my opinion it's just not good enough that we have to twitch our ways of using the phone so we don't get random "white line/squares" in notification centre. If there's an option to have a very small font, we should be able to bloody use it.

Again, nothing personal to you or any other user.

Same issue persists with my phone. Came from Blackberry -> Windows -> Android for the first time in my life thinking that 'i' is better. Disappointing.. Hope they fix these asap. + I saw when there are all day events in calendar, around 12 p.m both interpolates and showing characters on characters (ugly)

im also having same issue.. im using a bigger font... occasionally its happening...

im waiting for 10.2 if it will resolve the issue.... this is disappointing

I've been having this problem too. I'm currently on my 3rd iPhone 7 plus and it's only been 4 weeks. When this happened with the first phone I called tech support and they told me to bring it in to the genius bar. They ran tests and did the diagnostics but everything was fine, so they assumed it was hardware and gave me a new phone. 6 days after getting the new phone it's happening again (it always seems to kick in on the 6th day). After speaking with someone from tech support they advised me to comment letting everyone who's experiencing this problem know that the best option is to call in and make them more aware of the issue. They're already working on the problem, however, The one that has more traffic where reports are concerned will be top priority. Thats why they need more calls.

I'm having the exact same problem, I got my iPhone 7 Plus replaced. And the second one is doing the same thing.. not happy about this problem !!

Definitely experiencing it too. At first, I thought I was going crazy, and then it kept just doing it more and more to where the blocks and lines would hop around on the screen, but if you swiped up and back down, they'd disappear for a few seconds and then return. I had only had my IP7+ for about a month until I finally took it back to sprint to see what they could do, and no luck. So then, they actually gave me a new phone to try out, and unfortunately, after a day, the issue is showing again. And it's only the notification screen. I'm pretty positive it's a software issue seeing that, I took the loss and didn't restore my iPhone from any previous back ups, just to make sure there wasn't any faulty issues from the previous phone. I really hope it gets fixed soon.
