I am adding some cards to my Wallet app and I have successfully added a debit card and my Barclaycard Visa. However it won't accept my barclaycard American Express. I get a message to check the supported cards and both Barclaycard and American Express are both listed so shouldn't be an issue
CAn someone tell me what the problem is and let me know if they have been able to add the successfully

The fact that both Barclays and American Express are participating banks for Apple Pay does not necessarily mean that a Barclaycard American Express card (a co-branded card) is a supported card.
In order to use Apple Pay, your card must be a supported card from a participating issuer. However, not all cards that are issued by any given participating bank are necessarily supported for use with Apple Pay.
Apple does not publish a list of supported cards.
To find out whether your card is supported for Apple Pay, you can either:
- Contact Barclaycard;
- Try adding the card (you will be advised if it cannot be added).
The Barclaycard website advises that Apple Pay is available with all Barclaycard US-branded and most partner-branded MasterCard® and Visa® Cards. It does not state that Barclaycard American Express cards are supported.

I've been wondering that too for a while, I guess you have a Barclaycard Cashback Amex too - they now have published details of the gap in service on their website. I wonder what the reason is, but hopefully this will change one day soon.
Sorry, at the moment you won’t be able to use Apple Pay with Barclaycard Commercial Cards, Woolwich Open Plan Gold cards or on the American Express card on a Barclaycard Cashback Account.
