Sep 19, 2016 12:32 PM in response to nk0072by ThomasM2,Hello, is it is possible that the iPhone gets higher temperatures than usual, especially with new and more sophisticated hardware.
When this is happening, try not to use the iPhone for at least 10 minutes or so, and that even if you don't receive a notification on your iPhone just like "iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it"
And when that message appears of course, you absolutely can't use your iPhone

Sep 19, 2016 12:40 PM in response to lj_1by TheeCrewChief,My phone is having the same issue and having problems charging. I am not using it any different than I would use it with my old iPhone 6 that didn't have any problems.

Sep 19, 2016 6:10 PM in response to lj_1by Rocco02,Hello, I got my iphone 7 today at 3pm. By 6pm Battery about dead. (hardly used it). It also gets very hot just when sending a few text. Also, within five minutes went from 97% battery to 86%. This is so frustrating especially for a $750 phone. I can only imagine what the battery life would be if I used it how I usually would with my old iphone 5c. I really hope there is a recall. My phone seriously is getting extremely hot. Its almost scary.

Sep 19, 2016 7:35 PM in response to lj_1by drreedpharmd,My husband and I both got new phones Sunday and they get hot after about 10 min of use. I've also charged it twice today already and all I've done is check facebook and email. These phones are way too expensive to not work correctly.

Sep 23, 2016 10:59 PM in response to lj_1by applesiddartha,A friend and I both bought our phones today, and they both heat up in a matter of minutes? Is this safe? Does apple have any comment about it?

Sep 24, 2016 5:24 AM in response to lj_1by DavidinFortMill,I just received my iPhone 7 plus yesterday and while it was on streaming a video feed for about an hour, it got so hot that the phone stopped responding completely. I even tried the hard reset and got no response the first two times but then it successfully rebooted. My iPhone 5S never had issues doing this exact thing.

Sep 24, 2016 7:42 AM in response to lj_1by Btczk,If I play any games on my iPhone 7, it gets hot super fast - if I stop playing them it cools down. I also found that when I put my music on full it heats up too. Also the battery life is atrocious and is nothing like what apple said it would be like, It goes down drastically even in light use.
This is really annoying for me as it's the reason I upgraded from my iPhone 6, as that would do this sort of thing too.

Sep 24, 2016 10:19 AM in response to Btczkby KirstieTcLiu,Exactly same issues here, i upgraded to 7 because my 6s had the same problem and i thought because the phone and battery where having this issue because i had it for a while. But this is a brand new phone, it shouldn't heat up like this, losses the battery charge really quick, I hope Apple may have some solutions to deal with these problems!!
