    Have a look here...

Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures - Apple Support

When you use the device or charge the battery, the device might get warm. You might notice that your device feels warmer in these situations:

    • When you set up your device the first time
    • When you restore from a backup
    • When apps reindex or reanalyze data, like Photos tagging for faces, places, or keywords after a software update

These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when complete. Here are some of the higher ambient-temperature conditions and activities that might cause the device to change performance and behavior:

    • Leaving the device in a car on a hot day.
    • Leaving the device in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
    • Using certain features in hot conditions or direct sunlight for an extended period of time, such as GPS tracking or navigation in a car, or playing a graphics-intensive game.

Indeed, same problem here. Two iPhone 7s, one of them can't hold a charge beyond six hours total (use/non-use) and the other one is absolutely fine. The errant phone also gets really hot with any kind of use.

Hello, I am glad I am not the only one. I am seeing threads all over the web about this. I just got the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black 256 Gig from Verizon about a week ago (It was a Pre-order).

The phone overheats anytime I use it. Doing things as simple as checking my email, browsing the web or even swiping through my home screens cause the device to rapidly heat up.

The only other phones I have ever had heat problems with are the Samsung Galaxy S Series (I am an app dev so unfortunately have to have an Android). Those get so hot It is crazy. Now to my disappointment, after spending a grand on a cell phone it is doing the same thing. My phone is always in an Air Conditioned space.

I am coming from the iPhone 6s 128 Gig which never had this problem, and dare I say it - seems even faster then the 7.

I just wanted to chime in and say that I have this problem as well and It seems to be an issue.

I am going to call Apple Support and see how they handle this...

I wish Steve Jobs was still with us!! Anyway my rant is over.

I'm restoring it from my iPhone 6 plus backup on iTunes now.

    I have a laser thermometer and it's reading over 104 degrees.IMG_20161003_125535.jpg

Too hot to put in my pocket, not that I'd take a chance at that temperature.

What the heck is going on?!

My phone is doing the same thing. Received my iphone 7 plus in matte black a couple of days ago. Have felt it get very warm, and drain my battery. I am concerned, considering my iphone6 never did this. How can I fix?
