Where is the address book for iMail with gmail?
OR Where are my Contacts with iMail?

If I understand your question, you are looking for the Contacts application on your MacBook Air, and/or how to access your email addresses for your Gmail account in the Mail application. Can you tell us what version of the operating system you are working with on your MacBook Air? Click on the Apple in the top-left corner of your screen. Then click About This Mac to find out.
Depending on the version of the OS X you are working with, the application that stores your email addresses, telephone numbers, etc. is either called Address Book or Contacts. The applications are in the Application folder in Finder, and an icon that looks like an address book should be on your dock.
When you launch the Mail application, if you have added your Gmail contacts to your computer, the contact information in the Address book will be populated into the Mail application. When you compose a new message and start to type a person's name in the To: line, the email address for that contact should appear.
