Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding your iPad Pro is showing a blank black screen. I can surely understand your concern, especially since this is a new device. I am happy to help.
If you haven't already done so, please try force restarting your iPad Pro. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo. If the issue persists try letting your iPad charge for up to an hour. If the screen remains black please try the remaining steps in the links below.If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch wont turn on
