I need help with my iPad Pro the screen went black

I need help with my iPad pro mini that I just bought less than a week ago.

The Screen went black and I tried the apple instructions and it doesn't work.

What should I do??? Help.

I never had this issue with my iPad Pro first generation. However, I'm having the black screen issue with my new iPad Pro 2. I purchased it less than 2 month's ago and I've experienced the black screen more than 4 times already. It usually happens when my battery is down to 50%. The only way it "wakes up" is if I plug it back to the charger or if I re-boot it. This shouldn't be happening to a NEW iPad Pro 2. Should I be concerned? I wonder if this unit is defective and should be returned to Apple. What do you think?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding your iPad Pro is showing a blank black screen. I can surely understand your concern, especially since this is a new device. I am happy to help.
If you haven't already done so, please try force restarting your iPad Pro. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo. If the issue persists try letting your iPad charge for up to an hour. If the screen remains black please try the remaining steps in the links below.
