Q: homekit not showing up in account settings on apple tv

Hello,

I'm having trouble getting HomeKit to appear on my 4th get apple tv to use as a hub for homekit enabled devices. After restarting, signing in & out of iCloud, setting up two factor verification still no success. Anyone have a helpful suggestion or thought ?

I am having the same problem and the suggestions in the link provided by the prior response did not work for me. Did they work for you? Is this question really answered for you. If so, what specifically worked?

See Automate and remotely access your HomeKit accessories - Apple Support. I don't have any HomeKit devices myself, but from what I can tell you don't actually get a Home app on the Apple TV. This needs to be set up from an iOS device. If the Apple TV is configured correctly then you should see HomeKit enabled under Settings > Accounts > iCloud which then allows you to control or monitor the devices when you are away from home.

I have not found a solution yet . I have been talking to AppleCare and they have not found one either.

Thank you, homekit connection appeared about 10 minutes after resetting the hardware. I still have to reinstall reorganize the apps as the unit was wiped clean .
