Will Apple Watch magnetic charging cable damage iPhone if they come into contact or are near each other?

I wonder if anyone could help? I have an iPhone 6s Plus operating on iOS 10.

I also have an Apple Watch 42mm first generation.

Could anyone please advise if they are aware of the Apple Watch magnetic charging cable causing damage to the iPhone based on the magnet in the charging cable? It is my understanding that magnets and iPhones do not mix well?!

THank you.

no, magnets is not an issue apart from when being close by will make the iPhone compass stop working very well

nor are X-ray at the airport an issue, you can get iPhone cases and car stands full of magnets without any issues

old screen called crt the prior to lcd monitors and tv's would be affected by magnets

and old hard disk in computers would be affected by very strong electronic magnets and could lose data

but non of those technologies are used in phones or watches
