iPhone 7 Hissing Sound

I Have the same issue with a brand new iphone 7 plus. I restored as new and anytime the phone communicates I have an issue with thhissing in the back.

I too have this issue with my iPhone 7 plus AT&T jet black 128gb and hear a hissing sound when the iPhone is under heavy load. The iPhone also gets very hot as well. I'm on iOS 10.0.2

TO be clear all our phones are still hissing right? We just don't have a fix yet until a new batch comes out or a software update fixes it (unlikely).

Again I hate how this question appears solved because it's not at all.

I have a question/concern/maybe solution. So I ordered my iPhone 7 Plus and I am reading through this thread. Does anyone hear this sound when they have their iPhone in a case? If no, will having a case on the iPhone be a temporary solution for the noise blockage until Apple has a fix? This would be perfect. I really would like to use my new iPhone with ease, but not if this persistent noise issue continues... And yes I'm a heavy user on my devices - Emails, Social Media, Spotify, Bluetooth all day...

I will be perfectly happy with my iPhone 6+ and wait for awhile until the issue is fixed.. Or is buying the new iPhone even worth the defects?

Hey my sound is very faint, only heard when I press my ear up to the back of the phone. I have the leather case which probably helps slightly.

I use original leather case from Apple. But if I place my ear to back of phone I can hear it. (iPhone 7 Plus)

YEs after 3 exchanges my phone still hisses.

😟 I talked to apple yeaterday and they told me that there needs to be a large volume of complaints until the engineers actually look into this issue. That's total bullcrap!

Yeah which will never happen because some people's hearing prevents them from hearing it and since it's so faint some people just don't care. I haven't found an iPhone 7 or 7+ where I don't hear it. I've learned to live with it and hope it doesn't lead to a greater issue.

RReturned 3 iPhone 7s all 128GB. I'm in london so I'm guessing this issue is widespread

Loads of people have reported it it's a widespread problem that apple have not yet made public or informed anyone what they intend to do about it I've had 3 iPhone 7s and they all make this horrific noise when playing back videos also when using my phone on loudspeaker amongst other scenarios it's totally unacceptable this is obviously a huge problem and a major fault with the phone if the video recording feature in your new £700 phone is unusable due to background hissing/static/clicking noises what good is the phone errr well exactly it's useless so apple need to man up and own up and recall these phones or tell there customers they are going to do something about it but as yet I've heard nothing from apple publicly and I'm disgusted and shocked they are staying quiet about this major issue it's about time someone done something about this!

I just got my second 7 Plus. First one was just after launch and returned it because of the hissing sound on video audio. I was stunned when I realized the current batch and new phone still had the same issue! We also have a normal 7 here and it does not have this issue. Both Plus'es were 128GB, different colors. I just contacted the retailer to return the second device, and try out a third.... I really don't understand how Apple is NOT fixing this 😟
