how do i unlock my iphone even after connecting to itunes

I have called apple store and they guide me through the process of my iphone getting disabled for certain hours now and I did everything they told me though for coonecting to itunes and still my phone screen says connect it to the itunes how so bascially how do I unlock my phone?
