After update, Apple Watch Siri can't hear/respond

After the new iOs10 update, Apple Watch Siri can't hear/respond. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi

If you have not yet done so, it may help to update the software on your watch:

Update the software on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If your watch is already up to date, the following steps may help:

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Siri - disable, pause for a few moments and then re-enable Siri.

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Keyboard:

  • Check that Enable Dictation is turned on.

Restart both your iPhone and your watch, turning both devices off together, then restarting your iPhone first:

Unpair and re-pair your watch:

It may help to clean your watch, paying particular attention to the microphone port (the lower of the two ports on the opposite side to the buttons), in case it has become blocked by debris.

Be sure to follow Apple's cleaning instructions (do not insert anything into the port and do not use any compressed air).

If the issue persists, I suggest that you contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation to have your watch checked and, if recommended by Apple, serviced (whether under warranty, if eligible, or via chargeable repair service):

After updating both watches, my wife's and myself to the latest operating system on both of our iPhones and watches Siri, dictation, and being able to use the watches phone function have all been disabled. Anything that needs to use the microphone no longer works. The fact that after updating both watches now have the exact same simultaneous dysfunction must mean there is a bug in the latest update

Try the following further steps:

If the issue persists, contact Apple (via the links in my previous reply) for assistance.
