Can I swap an active Verizon sim from my Samsung to my iPhone?

I Was wondering if I can swap an active Verizon SIM card between my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and my iPhone 5s even though I am still paying off my Samsung? If its possible will there be any extra charges or will my bill be the same?
