Apple Store not working in Apple TV 4 gen

I Bought today Apple TV 4gen, all works except the App Store After I updated to last Os, when I go to purchase/ download any app I make click in one of them to download it and the app doesn't open. You can make click with remote , it moves but doesn't open. I cannot see top charts , categories, purchased or search , when I go to those options the lists doesn't show, I tried rebooting, restoring, disconnecting all cables, resetting my router, connecting to another network, to another Apple ID and nth seems to work.

Anyone having same issue??

is the new Os? Cause before I updated I could use normally Apple Store. I'm in Finland btw

I also have this issue... i am based in Indonesia and i used my regular region apple id to access the indonesian app store...Then i tried to change to my US region apple id, and the result was I have no problem at all with the US app store and I can access the apple store and download some apps in the US region apple store...

Same goes here, had an Apple TV 4th about an year now and this update broke it. App store isn't working, Photos app is very laggy and I've experienced pretty much random bugs with it 😟 (e.g. with Airplay & Plex).

Device and apps worked pretty nicely before the update, if we don't count some minor lags and errors. Tried also everything from reboots to restores. And yes, from Finland too. Based what I can see here, it's at least somehow depending of your "location". Could try with VPN and location change also.

Hi, everyone. I got the same problem and I got in contact with apple support. I was advice to log out of app store, reset apple tv and set it up manually. If it doesn't work, we will need to wait for the next TVOS update.


It didn't work for me but I realized that if you avoid "Top Charts", the app store might just work.


Close your app store and relaunch it and avoid "Top Charts".

I have the same problem too!


I have tried a hard reset i.e. emptying all the content and re-updated my Apple TV.


However, I am still faced with the same problem of having "blank" pages or unresponsive pages for "Top Charts", "Categories", "Search" and "purchased apps". The only page that I can access will be the "featured" page.


Just tried a restore through iTunes. It is still behaving the same. I have also checked this at the local NuBox apple retailer their demo set is having the same problem as well.


Does any one here in Singapore having the same generation of Apple TV gen 4 having this same problem after TVOS 10 update? Could it be a bug in the new TVOS?


I was in touch with the support line and they just brush me off like a fly.

Weekend is here and the App Store is broken.... good, very good Apple.

To make matters worse, make it utterly impossible for the customers to contact you about it.

To make the experience even worse, your support services works only on weekdays.


I once bit into an Apple with a worm inside it.... literally.

Didn't think I would bite one figuratively.
