Q: Missing profile pics in Game Center.

Running 9.3.5 on my iPad, and all profile pics for my friends have reverted to initials. How do i get the pics back?

i Have tried signing in and out of Game Center, toggling the buttons in different configurations, doing a reset on the iPad using the different configurations, also reset while both signed in and while signed out. I have run out of options that I am aware of, what else can I try?

the pics are also missing in hayday where they are important to be able to quickly identify players. Please help me get my profile pics back in Game Center.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

You probably can't, at least not right now. With iOS10 Game Center is still supported, but on those devices running iOS 10 the Game Center app is gone, as is the ability to see one's friend's list. Which may be where the photos have gone.

The ability to add friends is now up to each game developer, and since none of my games have updated I don't know how they'll handle it, but with no general 'here's your friends' interface, that seems to be where the photos have gone to. (I can't even see or manage all my friends at the moment, the only option in the settings is to remove everyone, which you don't want to do because, as of right now, there's no way to add them back.

Right now 'wait and see' seems to be the best option. See what shakes out with individual game developers

TThanks for your reply. Do you know if they will be bringing it back, or if we can go back to the previous version?

I'M afraid I have no idea. I'm just a user like you. My gut instinct is that it's gone, but its been wrong before.

As to going back, game center is tied into the iOS structure, so it's an all or nothing thing. And I don't know if they are still 'signing' 9.3.5, if they aren't then your device cannot be rolled back. The iOS will not verify with APple's servers

And if you did roll back, you'd have to stay on 9.3.5 indefinitely and lose the security updates in 10.

My suggestion is to wait for your game developers to see what they do.

If you do choose to try and roll back, you need to look elsewhere for the how. Apple does not support rolling back the iOS so it's a forbidden topic here. (And like I said, if they're no longer signing 9.3.5 for your device, you can't do it anyway)

TThanks again, I'm nearly 70 years old, and these change are always hard for me to adapt too.
