Q: Help setting up my new macbook

my new macbook (el capitan 10.11.6)  is unable to verify username and password when setting up comcast (xfinity) meal.   i have it setup exactly like my old macbook that works fine and email still functions on, i also verified the username and password by logging in using webmail. What am i missing?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

so that is magic, i get your reply....leave the mail accounts screen open, go to the doctor and it tries both accounts, one the macbook figured out but is wrong...another comcast email account but not "pop" and it fails on the other one but succeeds on the pop account and i hear ding...ding...ding... and i have all the test emails I've been sending myself from another device and account!

    Super helpful.

    Thank you so much.
