No click sound/sense with force touch trackpad

Hi, I am using 13'' Macbook pro early 2015 with new force touch trackpad. Since last week, I am not able to sense the click. Although everything is working fine but that click sense/sound is missing. Sometimes I face issues with trackpad (trackpad stops working) while using Safari. What could be the problem? Shall I update macOS or reinstall macOS?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're having trouble with your Force Touch trackpad on your MacBook Pro. If you are not feeling the "click" on your trackpad, you may want to double-check your current trackpad settings as described in the following article. In particular, you may want to check that the "Force Click and haptic feedback" option is selected:
