My delete key on my wireless keyboard for my IMac doesn't seem to be working. I have changed the batteries, and it worked for a minute. I restored factory settings, worked for a minute. I clicked the button in preferences under keyboard, worked for a minute. I can't afford the new keyboard currently and am looking for some help!

Open Keyboard Viewer, if it works there when clicking on it & not on the KB, them it is likely the KB's problem.
It's working in the viewer. It seems that the delete key will only function as delete not as backspace. It's always a recognized key. It seems to happen with some other keys when I hit shift to capitalize the letter. It's an odd phenomena. I think my keyboard may be on its last leg which is odd because its only a few years old.
So, when you press delete it shows highlighted in KB Viewer?
Yes, it does show.
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?
Delete key only works when letters are highlighted. Will work for a minute after a reset or restore. Help!
