Q: I recently updated the ios software (OS X 10.8.5) on my MacBook Air 2013 and then backed up my iPhone 6 on the same Mac. 22 songs went missing on my iPhone. While my MacBook Air shows 248 songs, my iPhone shows 226 songs. How do I get it back?

I recently updated the ios software (OS X 10.8.5) on my MacBook Air 2013 and then backed up my iPhone 6 on the same Mac. 22 songs went missing on my iPhone. While my MacBook Air shows 248 songs, my iPhone shows 226 songs. Some songs which were earlier added to a playlist are not there now. I have tried syncing my iPhone 6 and MacBook Air through iTunes several times but the difference in the number of songs remains. What can I do to get these 22 songs back onto my iPhone?

Can you not just resync your phone with your MacBook Air.  If you are syncing a playlist and it contains 248 songs they should all sync across. If not is there anything in common with the missing songs. I mean are the from the same artist/album.
