Q: iMac AMD Radeon R9 M390 driver update in Boot Camp

Hi,

I really need to update my driver for my AMD Radeon R9 M395 to 16.7.2 or at least 16.30.2311. I'm currently on 15.301.2101. The reason is that some software I'm using (P3D) constantly crashes due to a bug in the v15 driver and this is fixed in the latest driver.

The problem is that I'm using Apple Bootcamp, in which updates are restricted. See the attached screenshot, the control software recognises the update due does not allow me to update as v15.301.2101 is the latest allowable in Apple Bootcamp.

Any ideas? Is there any way we can lobby Apple to work on the allowing the latest v16 in Bootcamp as there are a LOT of fixes in this version. I'm not very happy since I paid extra for the graphics card, but by Apple being lazy on the driver updates I can't really use it!

Thanks a lot for any ideas!updates available.PNG

You are not alone   !I have the exact same problem.  Purchase a late 2015 IMac with radeon R9 395X only for Prepar3d.  Set up Window 10 with Bootcamp but I can not use P3D Version 3 update.  I must continue on Version 2.5.  Version 3 will crash every time I start the Mac in Window to run P3D.  It is unfortunate because I know AMD make new drivers available for everyone except Bootcamp users,  but I am stuck with 15.301.  Can someone help, this I Mac was very expensive $$ and I can not update either P3D or AMD driver.
