When charging your iPhone, ensure that you are using either a genuine Apple cable or an Apple-certified / MFi cable. If you are already doing so, try instead using another cable of the same type (ie only genuine or certified).
If the issue persists, follow the steps here, including checking the charging port for any debris and/or contacting Apple Support or making a Genius Bar reservation if necessary:
