Q: Files going in the wrong place

When I download tunes on my iMac, from apple music, they seem to appear in the root directory of Itunes Media, and not in my music or Apple Music folder. I am not sure why or how to fix this. Any ideas? I've attached a photo of what I am talking about

The issue must be with the symlink that I made, for Music and Apple Music. I created a symlink on my NAS, and copied it to the itunes Media folder. This seems to be causing an issue, I used an app called Symboliclinker 2.1

If I delete the Apple Music Folder (which is a symbolic Link to my NAS), then download an apple music album, it creates the directory Apple Music, and goes into it like it should.  Very weird.

Symbolic link? I should have guessed some critical item of information was omitted from the original post when I read it an hour ago and didn't respond.  iTunes has always been good at completely ignoring aliases and for a while symbolic links seemed to work to some extent. Now I am seeing more posts about those not working well either.
