iOS 10 Slow/Periodic Drop in iMessage Connectivity/slow Notifications

Hello.

Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 6s to iOS 10 on 13th September, I've been having a periodic drop in iMessage connectivity. For example, after a few hours of not using iMessage, when trying to chat with a contact, messages would not be received or delivered without me restarting my handset. And if the come through, I would only get a notification sometimes 30 mins to an hour late from the time the message was sent.

Note the following:

1. Internet connection is fine. During drop in iMessage connectivity, I'm able to browse safari and other apps requiring internet.

2. When I start experiencing drop in iMessage connectivity, twitter notification from the Twitter app are also not coming through unless I open the Twitter app.

3. The only solution to this is restarting the handset but it's cumbersome restarting the device every 2-3 hours as the problem is persistent.

4. I'm connected to all iCloud and Apple account with no problems. Im able to send and receive emails with no problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am experiencing this as well. They will eventually go but it's a while and super annoying.

Well, for a start at least I'm not the only one facing this problem. Would be good to get more feedback from others experiencing the same problem. iMessage worked well before iOS 10 for me in terms of connectivity.

Hello once again.

So the problem still persists and I've noticed that other app push notifications mainly, Twitter and Instagram, are also a little slow coming in are also. Although their timelines are refreshing just fine after opening the app.

iMessages on the other hand are still a major problem coming through, sometimes even 2 hours late as seen in the screenshot attached. As I pointed out earlier, I have to restart the phone for it to work well for an hour or so before the problem comes back.

This is really annoying. Is there a way to report this to Apple as no solution is being found on this forum?
