I have tried to delete all SMTP servers for my iCloud, Gmail, and Yahoo, and none are working. I have also tried to add the same SMTP servers but without SSL authentication but nothing works.
As soon as I turn on WiFi, mail works like a charm.
This happened after upgraded to iOS 9.3.5

Go to settings Email accounts delete accounts then add account back again
Just before you do that google settings for Gmail accounts & write them down
Enter them when setting up email account .

Thanks Brian. I tried and after attempting to login email/password it goes back to Add Account (where it shows all the email carriers logos appear).
I restarted the phone and tried to add both again (Gmail & Yahoo), and nothing, it goes back to logos's screen.
I will have no choice but to use a third party email app, until this issue is resolved or attempt to add them manually via "other".
