Camera design fault on MacBook Pro

Wondering if anyone else has noticed this. The placement of the camera is right where most people open the covers of their units. Thus it gets fingerprints heavily at this location. The acid in the print appears to damage the screen in this area over time causing the image from the camera to be blurred and of very poor quality. It appears to remove a coating that is on the glass and replace it with a smear-like looking substance. I know of at least two other people who have noticed this problem. Checked with someone at my local Apple Store and they said they are finding that it is becoming a common complaint/problem. That the only cure is to have the screen replaced which costs close to or more than the unit is worth. Two (maintenance) solutions I was told was to clean the screen with appropriate cleaner every time a fingerprint is noticed or to always open the cover by the side (if you can remember to do this every time)! Perhaps Apple should seriously consider moving the camera to a location that would be less likely to get it damaged or make the screens with a coating (or without one) that is impervious to damage from the acids present in most fingerprints.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), I'm a Mac "Newbie"
