I want to get and use a VR headset (goggles) with my iPhone 6. Any problems or tips you can tell to make this successful before I spend money ?

Buy a Samsung Phone. There are some good deals on the Samsung VR headset when you buy a phone.

The iPhone's retina display was never meant for VR. It's great for normal use, but has serious limitations when used right up against your face.

If the OP really wants to use a VR headset, the iPhone is a bad choice. However, I never said they should get rid of the iPhone. Merely that, for VR headset purposes, they should get a Samsung.

The Google cardboard VR adapter works well with the iPhone.
