Sep 19, 2016 3:57 PM in response to Dr. Skydogby judysings,Hello Dr. Skydog,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! If your music is not playing as expected after updating to iOS 10, I would suggest you force quit the Music app, restart your iPhone and try again.
Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Choose how to sort songs
Tap Settings > Music > Sort Songs & Albums
You can choose to sort your music by Artist or by Title
Select the Album Category, turn Shuffle on and off
At the Home screen, tap the Music app, tap Library (lower-left), tap Albums
Tap on an Album to select it.
You can tap on any of the songs listed in the album to play them individually.
Now Playing
At the bottom of the screen, if you tap on the small icon of the album (or the current playing song title), you will see the full Now Playing screen. At the bottom of the screen you will see the shuffle and repeat icons. If you tap shuffle, you will see that it is enabled because a pink box will surround the icon.
If you tap the top of the Now Playing screen, it will minimize the window.
Take a look at the Music section of the updated iPhone User Guide for iOS 10 for more information.
(Click on the Table of Contents, then click Apps).
Take care. -
Sep 21, 2016 5:00 AM in response to judysingsby Adeyeye,Thanks for the insight... but there is still an issue playing an artist without selecting album.
In the previous iOS, you just tap the artist and all of his/her album and songs start playing without selecting... Is there a way round it in iOS 10? Thanks
