iPod touch can't turn off and connect to the server

It still respond to my touch but It won't turn off when I push the lock button or lock screen in a long time.

At first I tried to open an app but it was stuck with the logo page, so I thought of re-install it but then when I opened the app store it can't connect even with wifi connection. Then it started not responding, stuck with notif center I accidentally pulled. When it got locked, I unlocked it and it was back to normal. So I tried to sign out and sign in again in the apple id setting but it said verification failed and I couldn't sign in.

I also tried checking on software update but it said can't connect, and I don't remember whether I have updated the new iOS or not.

Please help!

iPod touch (5th generation), null

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
