Q: upgraded to iOS10.0.1  and now facebook is not working

I am using Iphone 5s. I updated my iOS  today to 10.0.1. After update was over and phone restarted itself, all apps are working fine except facebook. It should a faded icon and "waiting" status for it. I tried deleting the app but it won't let me delete it either. I went on app store to update it, but my facebook app is up-to-date and shows "open" but when i click on it nothing happens. I have tried restarting my phone as well, still doesn't work.
