iPhone 7 will not connect to iTunes - asking for new version but everything is up to date

My new phone will not connect to iTunes on my windows laptop. It says that it requires a newer version of iTunes but the newer version is all ready updated

Vista is pretty outdated. Microsoft would get your money if you upgraded Windows, not Apple. iTunes Match is a possible short term workaround if you're not ready to upgrade Windows or your computer right now. Should you have any old 128k DRM protected purchases you would also be able to get them upgraded to 256k DRM free versions as part of the package.

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 7. Can't find my device on iTunes. On top of that my phone is only asking to allow device to access photos and stuff. Never asks to "trust" computer


I have windows 10, a laptop that was purchased couple months ago. iTunes running 12.5.3.


Possible solutions I found online, I tried them all.


Restart laptop and phone. Tried different USB ports and cord. (It's connected seeing it asks to access photos at least and charging). Reset privacy settings on my phone...reinstalled iTunes. And some other stuff to no avail...
